CARE TIPS
Light: This plant prefers bright, indirect light but can also tolerate some low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water your Lemon Lime Philodendron when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent water logging, which can lead to root rot. Avoid over watering as it can also cause the leaves to yellow and drop.
Humidity: The Lemon Lime Philodendron prefers moderate to high humidity levels. You can increase humidity by misting the leaves with water or placing a tray of water near the plant.
Temperature: This plant prefers temperatures between 60-85°F (15-29°C) and should be protected from drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Soil: The Lemon Lime Philodendron prefers well-draining, porous soil. You can use a mixture of peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark.
Fertilizer: Fertilize your Lemon Lime Philodendron during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2-3 weeks.
Re-potting: Remember, re-potting is a stressful process for plants, so it's important to avoid disturbing the roots too much and to keep the soil consistently moist in the days following re-potting to help the plant recover.
Choose a pot that is one size larger than the current one. The new pot should have drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating in the soil.
Propagation: When planting the rooted cutting, make sure to use a well-draining potting mix and keep the soil consistently moist. Water it thoroughly after planting and place it in a bright, indirect light location. With proper care, the new plant should begin to grow and thrive.
